Stockton Lake Cleanup - The US Army Corps of Engineers at Stockton Lake is teaming up with National Public Lands Day, Missouri Stream Team and the Kansas City Frogman Dive Club to host the 23rd annual Stockton Lake Cleanup event at 8 am Saturday, September 14. Lunch and prizes will be provided to volunteers following the event at noon. "Volunteers will assist with a variety of tasks to include picking up litter on the shoreline, beaches and boat ramps and trail maintenance planting trees, flowers and shrubs." informed Clint Moore, Stockton Lake park ranger. "We ask volunteers register prior to the event and meet at 8 am at the Cedar Gap Shelter adjacent to Senator Christopher "Kit" Bond Visitor Center and Administration building, to kick off the event"
